How we do it
Read the system
We check the pressures with gauges and look over the pipes, joints and components for oily marks, which are the usual sign of a leak.
Pinpoint the leak
Where the source is not obvious, we add leak-detection dye and re-inspect. We check hoses, joints, O-rings, the condenser and the compressor shaft seal.
Repair what leaks
A worn O-ring, a cracked hose, a damaged condenser or a leaking seal is repaired or replaced. We show you the fault so you can see what was wrong.
Vacuum and hold
We vacuum the system and watch that it holds. A system that will not hold a vacuum still has a leak, so we do not charge it until it does.
Recharge and test
The correct refrigerant is added in the measured amount, then we recheck pressures and vent temperature and explain the result.
