Car Heater Repair in Peshawar
Peshawar winters are cold enough that a car heater is not a luxury. It also clears fog and frost from the windscreen, which matters for safe driving on winter mornings. When the heater blows cold air, blows weakly or does nothing at all, the fault is usually in one of a few places: the blower, the controls, or the flow of hot coolant through the heater core.
Heater repair is part of our car electrician service, because most heater faults are electrical or involve the cabin climate controls. Our workshop is at Tambwan Mod, Ismail Market, University Road, and we check the whole heater circuit before recommending any part.

Signs you need this
- The heater blows cold or only lukewarm air, even after the engine is warm
- The blower fan works on one speed only, or not at all
- Weak airflow from the vents, even at full speed
- The windscreen fogs up and will not clear
- A sweet smell inside the cabin, or damp carpet on the passenger side
- The temperature control knob or lever feels loose and changes nothing
How we do it
Check the basics
We check the coolant level and the engine temperature first. A low coolant level or a thermostat stuck open stops the engine reaching heat, and then the heater has nothing hot to give.
Test the blower circuit
We test the fuse, relay, blower motor and resistor pack with a multimeter. A worn resistor is a common reason for a blower that works on only one speed.
Check the controls
We check that the temperature control moves the blend door inside the dashboard. A broken cable or actuator leaves the door stuck on cold.
Check the heater core
If the controls and blower are fine, we check that hot coolant reaches the heater core and that the core is not blocked or leaking.
Repair and test
We repair or replace the faulty part, top up the coolant if needed and run the heater at each setting before returning the car.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my car heater blowing cold air?
- The most common causes are low coolant, a thermostat stuck open, a blend door that is stuck, or a blocked heater core. We check each in turn so you only pay for the part that has failed.
Why does the heater blower work on only one speed?
- That usually points to a worn blower resistor or its connector. It is normally a small repair, but the connector should be checked for heat damage.
What does a sweet smell inside the car mean?
- A sweet smell or damp carpet can mean coolant is leaking from the heater core. Have it checked soon, because the leak can also cause the engine to overheat.
Is heater repair the same as AC repair?
- They share the same vents and controls, but the heater uses engine heat while the AC uses refrigerant. We repair the heater under our car electrician service and the cooling side under our car AC service.
Is it safe to drive with a heater problem?
- You can drive, but poor demisting is a safety risk in winter. If you smell coolant or the temperature gauge rises, stop and call us.
How much does heater repair cost?
- The price depends on whether the fault is a fuse, a resistor, a blower or the heater core. Call or WhatsApp us with your car model and symptoms and we will explain what to expect.
