Car AC Gas Refilling in Peshawar
When a car AC blows warm air, low refrigerant is the most common cause. In a Peshawar summer the system works hard from the first minute, so a small leak shows up quickly. A proper refill is not a quick top-up. The system is checked for leaks, emptied of air and moisture, then charged with the amount of refrigerant your car was designed for.
Our AC bay is at Tambwan Mod, Ismail Market on University Road, near Tehkal. Bring the car in, tell us what you notice, and we will explain what we find before any gas goes in.

Signs you need this
- Air from the vents is only slightly cool, or warm at traffic lights and better while driving
- The AC used to work well but has weakened slowly over a few months
- The compressor clutch clicks on and off quickly, or does not engage at all
- Frost forms on a pipe under the bonnet, or the airflow drops after a while
- A hissing sound from the dashboard when you switch the AC off
- The AC has not been serviced for years
How we do it
Check the system
We run the AC, feel the vent temperature and read the high and low side pressures with manifold gauges to see what state the system is in.
Find the leak
A system that has lost gas has a leak. We inspect the hoses, joints, condenser and compressor seal so the new gas does not escape again.
Recover and vacuum
Remaining gas is recovered and the system is put under vacuum to pull out air and moisture, which cause weak cooling and corrosion.
Charge to specification
We add the correct refrigerant in the amount your make and model calls for, measured rather than guessed by feel.
Test and explain
We recheck pressures, vent temperature and the condenser fan, then tell you the result and any part that needs attention.
Cars we work on
We refill and service the AC in the cars most Peshawar drivers use, including:
- Suzuki: Cultus, Alto, Mehran, Wagon R
- Toyota: Corolla, Vitz, Passo, Hilux, Prado

Frequently asked questions
How often does a car AC need a gas refill?
- A sealed AC system should not lose gas. If yours needs a refill every summer, there is a leak. We find and fix the leak so the refill lasts, instead of topping up again and again.
Which refrigerant does my car use?
- Most older cars use R134a and many newer models use R1234yf. The label under the bonnet, or the service manual, states which one. We confirm it before charging.
How much does an AC gas refill cost?
- The price depends on the refrigerant type, how much your car takes and whether a leak needs repair. Call or WhatsApp us with your car model for a clear figure.
Why is my AC cold while driving but warm at traffic lights?
- That pattern usually points to a weak condenser fan, a dirty condenser or low gas, because airflow at idle is what is missing. We check the fan and the pressures together.
Is a refill enough if the compressor is making noise?
- No. A noisy or seized compressor needs its own inspection, and adding gas wastes money. We will tell you which problem you have.
